The island boasts a replica of the mansion of Harmon & Margaret Blennerhassett. The park and mansion are open to the public from Spring to Autumn.

Corning Park

Parkersburg's Corning Park is just off Staunton Avenue. There you can put in your fishing boats and relax on the Little Kanawha River. Picnic areas under roof are available.

Mountwood Park

Mountwood Park is the place for the annual Volcano Days Festival. It's just off Rt. 50 East, just a few miles out of town.

Point Park

Parkersburg's Point Park is located at the convergence of the Little Kanawha and Ohio Rivers. This is the beginning of your trip to Blennerhassett Island.

Southwood Park

Parkersburg's Southwood Park boasts the area's only waterslide, an Olympic-size swimming pool, a pond with fountains, miniature golf, a baseball field, basketball and tennis courts and plenty of picnic areas under roof.

City Park

17th Street & Park Avenue

Parkersburg's City Park boasts a baseball field, basketball and tennis courts, a walk track, a pavilion, swimming pool, veteran's memorial, playground, horseshoe throwing pits under roof, band shell, miniature golf and a large pond with fountains.

Johnson T. Janes Park

36th Street

36 acres large, the property was donated by John C. & Orga E. Janes and Herman & Marjorie L. Marshall, and is designated a nature preserve and conservation park.

North Bend State Park

North Bend State Park is situated high in the hills and boasts a lodge with restaurant, meeting rooms, cabins for rent and is the spot for many events throughout the year.

Quincy Park

Quincy Street, off 8th or 13th Streets

Parkersburg's Quincy Park offers an almost bird's eye view of our city, overlooking the Ohio River. There is a playground, picnic areas under roof, a WWII era tank on display and steps leading to downtown.
