Hello, I'm Mayor Robert Newell and welcome to the new Parkersburg, WV online.

We've been receiving your input on what you'd like to see in the finished version of the new site build. It's still in the works - and in the meantime, we'll keep adding links to this page to keep you up to date as best we can.

N E W S - A Farmer's Market is coming to downtown Parkersburg beginning Thursday, July 10th at Third &Market Streets. Our plans are to have the market open on Thursdays and Fridays from 11:00am until 6:00pm during produce season. Call the City Building at 424-8415 for more information if you would like to sell produce, but we would like to take this opportunity to invite you downtown for fresh vegetables and other farm goods.

We would like for you to recycle! Please call 424-8570 between the hours of 8:00am and 3:00pm and someone from our Sanitation Department will deliver a container to you with information about recycling. You may pick up a container at the City Building on the first floor or second floor. Thanks for helping make our program a success!

FIREWORKS are Friday, July 4th, or Saturday the 5th if it rains. Call our City Park office at 424-8572 for information about the fireworks and swimming pool schedules if you want to make a day of it in our city park. Have a safe holiday!
